Repurpose Vintage Jewelry
We all have tired, old jewelry that we keep in a drawer somewhere, right? This year, I decided to use some of my discarded earrings and bangles, along with my collection of antique buttons, and I turned them into vintage Christmas tree ornaments.
All you need is a glue gun with plenty of glue sticks, your trinkets and baubles, and your imagination! Get together with friends and family, have them bring their used costume jewelry and exchange some of yours with some of theirs. It’s a great way to get together and enjoy your holidays while you make some very personal ornaments for your tree. Best of all, you will create some new memories with your loved ones too!

STRANGE CREATURES
We are such strange creatures!
We have to leave, to miss, and to be missed
We need space,to feel closer to our loved ones
We have to give, to receive
We have to die, to live
We have to have known loss, so we can appreciate
We have to have known darkness,so we can shine brightly through our being
We have to have been lost, to know the warm feeling of being loved and accepted
We have to be orphaned, in order to be adopted
We have to have tasted great hatred, so we can become great lovers
We have to have been buried, so we can sprout back up to life
We have to have been cut deeply and wide open, for blood to gush out, ushering in true healing
We have to have been cut, in order to be sutured
We have to have seen chaos, to appreciate harmony
We have to have heard cacophony, so we can hear beautiful sounds….

AXES AND SWORDS
I still call you friend
Said I’d be there ’til the end
You still hold your axe
You’ve never bothered burying it
You hack away at me
Yet I remain unharmed
You hack away at me
Always coming at me fully armed
I offer you a hug
When you need it most
And in exchange
You hurl at me all your ugly words
I no longer dodge your swords
Because no one in their right mind fights back a ghost…

The Sea Owns the Tide
The sea owns the tide
Just like the moon owns the night
Just like the sun owns the day
Just like the stars own the sapphire hued heavens
Just like the light owns the dark
Just like the darkness owns nothing
Just like nothing owns the abyss
The sea owns the tide
Just like the grave owns life
Just like life owns all that is everlasting
Because death is not final
The sea owns the tide
Just like hatred owns what’s bitter
Just like the honey comb owns sweet nectar
Just like life owns breath
Just like blood owns life-
For the life of a thing is in its blood
The sea owns the tide
Just like summer owns growth
Just like fall owns decay
Just like winter owns stillness
Just like spring owns new life
The sea owns the tide
There’s never a way of knowing
Which way it’s gonna turn
The tide is high
It’s time to move on

BRINGING BIRTH BACK HOME!
Hello Dear Followers! I have been a way for sometime due to one big reason: My daughter was pregnant and about to give birth to my first grand child. Meet Clara Isabel Brincat. She was a PLANNED unassisted home birth that took place on June 17,2014 at 3:55pm. Both mama and baby are doing GREAT during their baby moon and I am still elated to have become a grandma 🙂 In the next few days I will share with you some of my thoughts on having assisted my daughter in bringing this precious life into the world. I tell you once you have delivered a baby, you never see life the same again!!!!

CARE LESS
I care less about things that used to bog me down
I didn’t say I don’t care
For that is a lie
When we tell ourselves we don’t care
Our brains wired for positivity only hear
I DO CARE!
So I choose to CARE LESS
I care less about my ex
Who was never a day in his life careful with me
I care less
Of what people think of me, my family or my work
I care less about careless people
I care less about tomorrow
Because I choose to be present NOW
I care less about the past
Because it no longer has a hold on me
I care less about
Trivial, mundane bullshit
I care less about gossip
Who really cares about the Hollywood starlets
And their privileged, boring lives they lead
Certainly not I!

DARK ROOM
My home is a dark room
Negatives exposed to light
Composition taking place
Light filters for enhancement
We are making history
We are mending hearts
We are setting the captives free
Not by power
Not by might
But by the power of the living God
We have vision
We have purpose
We have destiny
And no one’s gonna stop us
Because from this dark room come:
The greatest stories ever told!

EVICTION NOTICE SERVED
Evict what’s not working for you anymore
Be the land lord of your heart
Serve notice to the past with all of its hurts and scars
Serve notice to people who drown your creative expression
Serve notice to your night mares
Clean out your temple and drive out the thieves and money changers
But don’t stop there and leave your home empty once the squatters vacate the premises
Now put up a for rent sign on your heart’s door
Rent rooms out to:
Love
Joy
Peace
Patience
Kindness
Faithfulness
Goodness
Humility and
Self Control
They’ll be the best tenants
Because they’ll not destroy your home again
They’ll show you the real you
They’ll be with you through good and bad
One day you’ll wake up to find
They’re no longer renters
Because you’ve made them home owners

Don’t Fear Your Wild Heart
Don’t fear your wild heart
Out of it come life’s finest treasures
Don’t fear your wild heart
It fuels your most intimate of passions
Don’t fear your wild heart
It makes you feel the highest and lowest compassion
Don’t fear your wild heart
It’s why you’re not numb
Don’t feel your wild heart
It feeds your wildest imaginations
Don’t fear your wild heart
In it,faith,hope and love thrive
Don’t fear your wild heart
It is the antithesis to all that your brain denies
Don’t fear your wild heart
It draws you away from the mundane
To soar higher and graze upon greener pastures
Don’t fear your wild heart
It makes you feel the sharpest of pain
It opens the door for you to change
Don’t fear your wild heart
It makes you feel love’s width ,depth, height and circumference
The most alive people
All posses wild hearts beating passionately, madly , boldly
The most alive people
Have all feared our wild hearts at some point
Then we awoke
After feeling like long dead corpses
We fell into a deep slumber
When we no longer followed our wild hearts
We succumbed to fear
Go on,put your hand to your chest
How fast does your heart beat?
Or can you barely pick up a pulse?
W.A.R.N.IN.G.:
My message
My words
My stories
My poems
Are not for the faint hearted
I come to awaken your wild heart
But that’s only if you want it!
