You know, I haven’t begun to read SALSA, but from what I’ve seen in it, I think Eva is one of those really talented and visionary Latin America writers who should be winning Pulitzers and whose works are lauded all the time in The New Yorker and Paris Review. Makes me sick! –

Salsa, I don’t know what to say. I am not a book critic and I never picked a book with poetry. But, wow, this book got me and kept me interested. It is a very entertaining book with everything on it. my best read was the chapter called Sold, someone should make a movie on that. It was a very diverse book just like the salsas that I like so much. Keep them coming Eva Santiago…

A family oriented book with a Latin vibe. Salsa is a solid read that reaches for sweet joys yet dives into deep despairs. With its mixture of short stories and poetry, Salsa contains morals, advice and life lessons that make for an authentic experience. When one reads this book knowing it is a work of fiction, it is not difficult to wonder just what vicissitudes the author has gone through.
